My Final Fantasy X playthrough :D

MILF and Pike posting about X has encouraged me to replay the game. I haven't played in years. I hope you guys enjoy!

Opening Sequence was incredibly well done in my opinion. It was touching and you could see the weight they had on their shoulders. Even before Tidus speaks, you know something big and emotional is going to happen. The scenery was beautiful and I thought it was a good touch when Tidus gets up that he puts his hand on Yuna's shoulder. Overall a great scene.



And then we are brought to Tidus' Zanarkand. I strongly dislike this area and part of the game. I see why it's there, but I don't like it at all. So Tidus comes out to his cheering fans and promises some fan girls he will do a hand raise for them if he scores and they giggle obnoxiously. Then I sign the blitzballs of some little kids. Little mystery kid tells me I can't teach them to blitzball tonight so I'll do it tomorrow. Promising little kids that he'll teach them to blitzball and then disappearing into an entirely different world where his father is the shell of a villain killing many people. How selfish. HE'S WORSE THAN HIS DAD.



Anyways so it's the Jecht memorial cup. Tidus is his son and star of the Zanarkand Abes or something. The announcers are paid to be excited. I go around talking to people, hoping they will give me stuff. One finally does. I go to the stadium and am mobbed by the crowds. Then we get a scene of the stadium filling up, with some music. Tidus stands and the crowd cheers. Auron is seen far off being a drunk. He lifts up his booze and you can see it being drawn to this giant wave (Sin). Then we get to watch Tidus blitz. Much more impressively then when I play later in the game. Auron walks through town and the giant wave absorbs some of the buildings into itself. Tidus is performing a move when he sees some missiles or something being fired his way. Darn that Sin, ruining his game (fist shake). Tidus clutches onto a piece of building as the town collapeses around him and he falls.


He gets up and people are running. A pink arrow on the area map conveniently shows me where to go.Who's this? Or in Tidus' words “Uguaha?” Turns out its AURON and Tidus knows him and asks what he's doing here? Auron says he was waiting for Tidus (and drinking). I continue through town where I see mystery boy, and everything around us stops. He says, it begins and tells Tidus not to cry before vanishing. The chaos resumes. Tidus is confused and goes running after Auron. He tells me to look up and I see a giant bubble. He calls it Sin. A sinspawn appear on the side of a building and fires of some enemies. Auron gives Tidus a sword, saying its a gift from Jecht. FIGHT TIME! And more fights. And learning about overdrives.

Tidus stops to throw in a "what are you laughing at old man" to the billboard of his father. Nothing, Tidus. That's a picture. Auron pushes me forward to MORE FIGHTING! In fight I destroy a...thing and basically blow up a bridge. Tidus is left hanging as some Neverending story type music plays. He calls out to auron, who asks Sin if he's sure as Sin absorbs Zanarkand. He then picks up Tidus and tells him it's his story and Tidus also gets absorbed into Sin.

I am floating in some weird area and there is a flaming J (not like a homosexual J, a J on fire) and we hear Jecht calling out. Jecht turns into child Tidus. Tidus wonders where he is and what he got himself into. Then he falls asleep. He feels lonely. He wakes up in a depressing area surrounded by water, ruins, and birds. There seems to be much lightening. Tidus calls out to Auron, or anyone. There is a temple off in the distance. There is an Al Bhed phrase which I would translate if I didn't have a job interview to leave for in 10 minutes.

So I go walking through the temple when a giant fish thing ruins my stride and sends me into the water. I get attacked by a few fish and after killing two of them the giant fish monster comes back and eats the last one. FIGHT TIME! After getting my butt handed to me by being severely punched twice, I cut my losses and start to swim away. Well fish creature tries to eat me. I don't know where he keeps his food since his stomach is basically bones, but there you go. He almost succeeds too, but at the last minute I get away and find myself trapped in the temple. TEMPLE MUSIC ACTIVATE! I actually like the temple music. I think its pretty.

So Tidus says it's cold, and says he needs fire, caveman style. I go gather supplies and start a fire, which is amazing considering how wet the entire place is. Tidus proclaims he needs food. He then has a flashback. He is being rude to Auron who tells him his team lost because of him. Auron reminds him it's been 10 yars and tells him he thought he would be crying. Mystery kid says the same. He wakes up to his fire going out. As he gets up to get more wood, he is ambushed by a... fast thing with long legs. FIGHT TIME! After a few back and forth hits, the door blows open and in come Rik... I mean erm ????? and some more Al Bhed. She joins me in my fight. I am taught about using grenades. This makes me sad because I only have 2. Now I have 1.

After the fight, I try to thank her but am suddenly held at gunpoint! They say some things and Rikku pleads my case and then punches me in the stomach and now here I am on an Al Bhed ship! Exciting. So there is some pushing me around and some Al Bhed speak and Brother grunting and gesturing. Rikku tells me I can stay if I make myself useful. We go down to salvage some ruins. I learn how to activate nodes on the sphere grid. I click and hit some stuff and before you know it, BOSS FIGHT TIME AGAIN! I leave and beams of light come out of the structure. I surface back up to the ship.

The Al Bhed men talk and enter the hip and Tidus, just trying to fit in and make friends, gets rejected and pushed away. He then rolls around on the ground proclaiming that he is hungry. Rikku kicks him in the arm and gives him some food. It looks kinda gross. Not sure what is. He scoffs it down with his hands and starts to choke or something before grabbing some..water? From Rikku. He gets up and asks Rikku his name. She introduces herself and he begins to laugh uncontrollably because she understands him. She explains about the Al Bhed. She asks where he's from and he says Zanarkand and mentions how he played blitzball (crazy person). She asks if he hit his head or something. He tells her the story of what happened. She tells him his head is probably funny from Sin. She tells him Zanarkand was destroyed 1000 years ago. He is in disbelief. He stops his disbelief briefly so I can save my game. She asks again about blitzball and tells him to go to Luca. He might find someone he recognizes. He doesn't know what she's talking about. She then promises to get him to Luca. She says not to tell anyone he's from Zanarkand because Yevon says its a holy place and he might upset someone. She goes to talk to the others. Tidus begins to feel a sense of hopelessness at his situation because he was hoping he could go home in a day or two.

He punches a wall out of frustration and Sin appears. He is thrown overboard and into a whirlpool, where he wakes up on a sunny beach!


Next chapter is Besaid

Tidus is awoken by a Blitzball. He is excited at seeing something familiar. And then he sees Wakka. He kicks the ball back to him, impressing Wakka's pants off. He then avoids talking to him in order to instead search the area for treasure. After finding treasure, he goes over to them and is swarmed by puny men in yellow suits. Wakka asks him to show them the move again, which he is more than happy to do. And that's how they lost a blitzball. Like that was in the budget. Wakka asks who he plays for and when he says the Zanarkand Abes, Wakka gets a somewhat offended look on his face. Remembering what Rikku told him, he explains that he was close to Sin and Wakka and the Aurochs pray for him. Wakka introduces himself and lures Tidus to his va... house with promises of cand...food. I talk to the team and they give me stuff except for Datto and Letty. What's their problems, ya? DON'T YOU KNOW I LOST MY HOME AND AM SUFFERING FROM TEMPORARY INSANITY?! GIVE ME STUFF!


Wakka tells me about the evils of Machina and confirms about Zanarkand. Tidus is sad and Wakka tries to cheer him up. Tidus wants to find Sin so he can go home. He tries to put his worries out of his head. Wakka throws me in the river and I collect points and treasures as we go about our business of not drowning. Wakka asks Tidus to be on his blitzball team. He tells Tidus about the tournament, and says that way he can see if anyone there will recognize him. Tidus agrees, although he isn't very happy about it. Tidus narrates that he thinks that at that point Blitzball and Sin are the only two thing that Zanarkand and Spira have in common.



We arrive at the village of Besaid. Wakka tells Tidus that he joined the team at 13, ten years ago. He retired the previous year and took up a new job. He says that he wants to win a tournament and go out with a bang. Tidus says his goal of trying our best is unacceptable and that when they play they play to win. We run in to the crusaders who warn me of fiends. Wakka teaches me the prayer, which Tidus executes rather poorly. You can't blame memory loss for being unable to properly move your arms, Tidus. It's not really that complicated. He says it's the blitzball sign for victory, which makes even less sense that he can't do it properly.



I go talk to Luzzu and Gatta. Gatta gets really pushy and they wonder how far away Sin is. They explain to me what the Crusaders are. He tells Tidus to go pray at the Temple to help regain his memory. So off I go to the Temple. He says that it was then, standing in that place, he began to realize how different this world is from his own. I observe a statue of Braska and a priest comes over to talk to me. People gasp at me and I say I got close to Sin's toxin and they pray for Tidus. I return to Chez Wakka and instead of getting food, I am put to sleep. A priest comes in and Wakka says something about can't interfere. Tidus flashes back to when his father went missing. Tidus takes a fit and says he doesn't care if his father doesn't come back. His mother is visibly distraught. He wakes up, and Wakka is gone. I still don't get any food.



I exit outside and the town has become a ghost town. Only one thing to do. TO THE TEMPLE! There is Wakka. He tells me about the Cloister of Trials and how the apprentice summoner hasn't returned yet. Tidus decides he's going to go help her, but goes about it in the rudest way possible. IN TO THE CLOISTER OF TRIALS! Why Wakka wasn't there in the first place, I'm not entirely sure. I make it through the cloister and Wakka catches up to me. He explains about guardians and such and such.


I enter the room to get fussed at by Lulu. Yuna finally emerges, and almost falls, but is caught by Kimahri. She tells us how she's finally become a summoner.


And this is getting long so that's all for now. Next is part 2 of Besaid and the ship voyage !

We go party in the square. Yuna summons Valefor and Tidus thinks its nifty. Lulu and Wakka go praise her. Tidus is introduced formally to the Aurochs and teaches them about the goal of victory. Tidus goes up to talk to Yuna after being yelled at by some villagers. She is very polite to him. Wakka asks if Tidus thinks shes cute and Tidus says yes and Wakka tells him not to get any ideas. Tidus goes to bed and has a ladykiller dream that quickly turns into a dream about his father and him as a child being scolded by him. He wakes up screaming “I hate you!”. He overhears Lulu and Wakka talking 9Wakka being fussed at) about how Tidus isn't Chappu. Wakka explains to Tidus afterwards that Chappu was his brother who was killed by Sin when he joined the Crusaders. More sleeping


I exit and Wakka gives me a pretty blue sword. The one he gave his brother who didn't want it. Yuna comes out with a massive suitcase, which she is told to leave. We head on our way and my hand is basically held through all of the fisrt battles. We arrive to an overview and they say goodbye to Besaid. Wakka prays for a safe trip. Jokes on you Wakka ahahahaha! Now who should join us? None other than, Kimahri! FIGHT TIME! After a few hits, Wakka tells him to stop. Tidus is upset. Lulu explains that he is a Ronso. Yuna says that Kimahri has protected her since she was a child. We continue on our way and build up for about an hour before arriving at the boat. More people give me stuff and there are some tearful goodbyes.



We embark on our sea voyage to Killika. Tidus steals a guy's binoculars. Aftwe doing a handstand on his shoulders. He then stops to check out Lulu before watching Yuna, who waves at him. Man steals binoculars back. Is unimpressed. I wonder around the ship. I meet O'aka the merchant. I do not like his accent. Did you know you can keep getting potions if you repeatedly kick a suitcase? Wakka tells us our destination. We are going to Killika Island and then to Luca. Lulu scoffs at him, not sure why. A group talk about Yuna, and her father. When I inquire, they grunt at me. Tidus asks Wakka, who explains that he defeated Sin 10 years ago. Tidus says it's tough when your father is famous. Lulu makes the first bit of not rude conversation with me. Yuna and Tidus make small talk before they both start laughing. She asks about Zanarkand. She believes he's where he says he's from because of his father, who was her father's guardian. Tidus gets angry at the mere mention of Jechts name. Yuna says it must be fate that they met. Tidus tells Yuna how her father disappeared and she tells him how that's when she met him. Their “nice” conversation is interrupted by SIN!! The ship gets tossed around, and Kimahri comes to Yuna's aid. The men of the ship harpoon it trying to distract it from destroying Killika. It is time for BOSS FIGHT! Starring Sin's fin! When the fight is over, Wakka finds that Tidus has been thrown overboard, so he dives in to save him. Leading to SECOND BOSS FIGHT! Of the sinspawn variety. Apparently Wakka had an elixir just hangin around in his shirt or something.



After the fight is over, we witness the destruction of Killika. People go flying and homes are destroyed. It is a very sad scene. A blitzball floats off in the water. Tidus is sad that he's stuck in Spira and Yuna resolves to defeat Sin.
