About damn time for another election, wouldn't you say? We used to hold the Eyes on Final Fantasy Election every year but with all the hullabaloo of the world ending in 2012, we didn't deem it necessary to appoint a president. In 2013, it is important, let me tell you. It allows us to exercise our rights as free EoFFers to choose a leader and party we deem fit to represent our nation of peoples are a whole.
Do you have have it takes? Do you have what it takes to lead the good people of EoFF into the black and into the fire and into the sea? Do you have what it takes to be counted on as an important representative of your party and to aid your president in his time of need? Do you?
Each and every citizen of EoFF is invited to launch his or her own party to compete in these elections. Each party will need to create its own thread in General Chat to advertise and obtain members. We encourage family and friends, neighbors and hooligans, upstanding citizens and juvenile delinquents of every race, sex and religion to participate for the greater good of democracy in order to avoid a repeat of The Dark Ages, a period in which Psychotic used his evil communist ways to come to power and turn EoFF into a dictatorship kingdom. Let's avoid that if we can.
Each party must obtain a minimum of five members, one of which is to be the designated leader and presidential candidate. A party must have at least five distinct members that fill each of the following positions and a maximum of ten members. Only five members may run in the representative positions. You have one week to form these parties on your own and apply for official party status. Of the minimum five members, each party will need to include the following:
- one leader who can not run for any specific forums but will run for board leadership as a whole.
- one representative for the General Forums
- one representative for the Gaming Forums
- one representative for the Final Fantasy: Old School forums
- one representative for the Final Fantasy: Golden Age forums
- one representative for the Final Fantasy: Modern Era forums
You will have until Wednesday, May 22nd, in the Year of Our Lord 2013 at 9:00PM PST to submit your party application and complete the initial party tasks appointed to you. Any party who fails to complete these tasks and adhere to the party requirements will be unable to continue. In addition to your party representatives, the following information must be completed and PMed to me by 5/22/13 9:00PM PST:
-Create your party name.
-Decide on a non-representative party member to be your vice president.
-Decide on your motto.
-Decide on your slogan (yes, they are different)
-Decide on a mascot.
-Draw a sigil/crest for your party.
You can do this as a leader or once you've obtained party members, you can ask for their input on it. How you complete this task will reveal what sort of leader you are.
If you are participating in these elections, you must vote. Let me repeat - you must vote. The only way we can powerhouse through these trying times in order to find us a president worthy of EoFF is to vote on it! We need your votes! If you do not vote, you will lose points for your party. If too few people in a party vote, they will be disqualified. Get your people to vote, people.
I sincerely look forward to these elections and wish each potential party luck with their journey. Throughout the course of the next two and a half weeks, you will be cooked, chewed up, spat out, cooked again and fed to BoB's chocobo. And with that,
