Let's talk about how great TAS was because it was legitimately great. That Spock episode (can't remember what it was called) was glorious.

There was a woman there who was so impressed that little kids were familiar with original Star Trek (this was the early 90s) that she followed us into the parking lot to talk about it.

That's because Star Trek is legit awesome and totes agreeable to talk about

Spock episode...you mean the one where they go back in time to when he was a kid and had a tiger or something?

The Lorelei Signal was cool too, as was BEM

Lorelei is where these sireens make all the menfolk aboard the starship incapacitated, so the women folk have to kick their ASSES

BEM is where a evil looking alien turns out to have a conscience, but has to learn a lesson and I just always thought it was cool cuz BEM stood for "Bug Eyed Monster" in the old comic biz

Interesting note: kirk says a line on the teaser to the first ep that is repeated halfway thru the last movie

Still watching. Halfway through season 5 of TNG. I'm not sure which one sharky will have me watch next, but I think I'm going to have a hard time adjusting if Data isn't in it.

We also got a Star Trek trivia book with like 2500 questions or something. Sharky is kicking my butt. I have only answered about 35% of the questions right so far (we are doing this in chunks because 2500 questions is a lot of questions) and most of those were guesses. But I did know a few of them!

Just saw the episode with mini-warf. It was adorable. The first few seconds I actually thought they had shrunk warf, which would have been pretty cute.
