That was a really good episode and it also made me realize that the story of the series is even more confusing than I thought it was when I played II. It really seems like to me that Nomura made it up as he went along because I think some of these connections would've been more prevalent. Also, spanning the story across 5 consoles made it even more difficult for people to follow.
