Two great tips for this one:
-he is vulnerable to slow, which will make your life much easier.
-He only busts out his dreadful triple reflected spells/globe 199 recipe if you damage him during his Mega Flare countdown. So don't attack him when he's doing that. Instead, put up reflect on all your party members and watch him hit himself with it just like Bahamut. From there, you only have to finish him off.

Besides the tips that TreasonWall gave, here's some more things you might want to know:

- Edward with the Apollo's Harp (NA and PAL) or Loki's Lute (PAL version only) does super effective damage to him (9999 unless you're really underlevelled)
- Kain with Abel's Lance still has a chance of inflicting Tornado on him, despite being a boss type monster (making the battle ridiculously easy, if it activates)
