Break-off of the names thread - do people ever mistake your name when you introduce yourself or when you're on the phone? Or do you have a name that gets atrociously mispronounced?

For some godawful reason, I am constantly mistaken for Vera. Or Beth, sometimes Beth. I don't know how either of those can be derived from Sarah, but it has happened in every state ever that I have lived in.
