Uh, Wolf, a lot of those games were actually very well received, the ones that weren't fell because of their merits as a game, not because of hype. Can you name any games that don't fall into either category and genuinely did suffer from their anticipation?

I kind of feel we've moved into a time when even the fans and gaming industry are no longer super excited for a new FF.

If no one's excited for it, how could it be a victim of its own hype???
