    75. Squarez Deluxe!
    PC, 1998

Another great multiplayer game, but also great for single player too. I would play this at my mate's house every morning after getting dropped off there before school and after school before I got picked up. It was awesome, and I have it on my PC to this day. It's a bit like an advanced version of Tetris and it can keep me playing for hours. Getting an insane score is very satisfying in this game, as is slowly cramping up the space for your opponent in multiplayer. Just another great game, really. The basic mode is already fun enough, but the extreme mode is just plain awesome and leads to all kinds of tactical decisions.

Aye, it's definitely not a game I'd consider to be well known. Made by the same people who made Jetpack, I think.

    74. Civilization II
    PC, 1996

Civilization is one of the few series that I don't favour the first game I played. I played Civilization (the original game) years earlier and while I loved it, Civ II was that far above and beyond Civ that I was blown away. This game set such a standard... my favourite part (and this goes for the entire series) is always exploring the discovering a new world. The war part is a bit meh to me, I just love growing, researching... I would play with just a single civilization in the world if it wasn't so boring doing so. I was never great at the game, though, and never bothered with higher difficulty. I just want to enjoy the gameplay, so I tend to stick with Chieftan or whatever it was that was just above Chieftan. Also, India was always my fave starting Civ.

Only played Civ IV and I got to the point where all the squares are developed and I'm just making decisions as to what im researching next every few turns. Some NPCs reached out to trade culture but I didn't feel like it. I didn't really know what to do next and I left it at that. I guess I just don't "get" these games or I shouldve just grown pair and attacked somebody.

I also messed with Civ III for a little bit that was kinda cool.

Civ 2 was my first Civ/Sid Meier game. I loved it and I love Civ 3 and Civ 4 and SMAC. They're all just wonderful, though I like SMAC best.

Bolivar: maybe try a higher difficulty? Your opponents will be more aggressive and actually competent.

Pretty good spot on your list actually. I'd expect higher on a PC game only list, but for a list that's including console games as well this is pretty respectable.

I agree that Civ II was probably the best of the series, but I also agree that it wasn't the best grand strategy game ever (still Master of Orion II!). I never really liked combat in the Civ games either.

My favorite part of Civ II though, was the expansions. Fantastic Worlds and Conflicts in Civilization were both excellent. Some of the best custom maps I've seen.

If MoO2 had a problem, it was the lack of a map editor.
My friend Delzethin is currently running a GoFundMe account to pay for some extended medical troubles he's had. He's had chronic issues and lifetime troubles that have really crippled his career opportunities, and he's trying to get enough funding to get back to a stable medical situation. If you like his content, please support his GoFundMe, or even just contribute to his Patreon.

He can really use a hand with this, and any support you can offer is appreciated.

Civ II is a great game, and was the first of the series that I played. I liked Civ IV more out of the series, but Civ II was still awesome, especially for its time.

    73. Crash Bandicoot (Naughty Dog series)
    PSX, 1996-1998

Crash Bandicoot is one of the best platform games ever, especially once you hit the 3D era. Crash might not be as famous as Sonic or Mario, nor did he have as many moves as many other platformers, but in sheer gameplay value these games were great and never let me down. I particularly loved the polar bear riding levels - they were great! That little thing is adorable. But yeah, not too much to add in at this point as it was just a game of pure fun, no major gimmicks to highlight or anything and it's been quite some time since I played them, too.

Crash 2 happens to be my absolute favorite platformer of all time. Wonderful controls, great challenges and awesome level design. Plus, you know, I grew up with it. I don't remember clearly, but it might have been the first game I ever played in my life.

Still holds up today, though. I replayed it not too long ago and enjoyed it a hell of a lot more than Mario 64, which I recently played for the first time. Now I'm really curious what the next 72 entries are gonna be.

Crash 3 is my favorite. That is probably because it was my first. It is also the easiest of the 3, I think, and that makes it fun to sit down and play through some of the levels when I just need a break. All 3 are awesome though.

    72. Lost Odyssey
    360, 2007

One of the few games on this list that I never actually finished (of the ones that actually can be finished, anyway). I hope to eventually, but I want to get the FF's finished first. Anyway, I really loved a massive amount of things about this game, particularly the storytelling in the little stories (dreams?) that pop up from time to time. The story of the game itself is also pretty interesting to me, and I liked the characters well enough. It's hard to completely judge this game without having played it through to the end yet, but I really enjoyed it enough to warrant it's position on this list.
