I was very apprehensive when I saw 'Skin' show up in Quina's Kitchen. I was even more scared when I saw Chris has made it.
Phew! Something we agree on. Deep-fried chicken skin (ala KFC or some other greaseball food chain) is utterly delicious, albeit very unhealthy and I wouldn't want to eat it that often. Never tried Pig skin though. Sounds... interesting.
I love getting those already cooked rotisserie chickens from like Wal Mart. I will eat the entire skin off of it as soon as it gets home. Used to piss my ex off to no end.
Fried Pork skin aka Chicharrones though.. Newp. Dun like it. Funny how it's a very Southern thing (cracklins', pork rinds, etc) but it's also a super Mexican thing. I think maybe just cooked a tad bit differently.
Chicken skin is good so long as I'm not thinking about what it is as I eat it.

Isn't that what a lot of people do when they're eating -any- animal related foods? I mean, unless you're Michael Symon and have an extreme obsession with beef in general.
My kiddo would -not- eat meat for years until like she was 3. No chicken nuggets, no fish, no steak or ground beef, nada. Just bacon every now and then. She finally got into it and started liking it, but I think now, she's wanting to go back to being a vegetarian 'cuz the animals get killed before we eat them and she doesn't like that they get hurt like that.
The only skin I will eat is if it's chicken skin from KFC. Other than that, gtfo.

I want you to prove that the eyeballs and "pork" rinds were not made of humans. I want to see pictures of receipts with today's newspaper for the skin and the eyeballs.
