    Holiday Food Horror Stories

Have you ever had a bad dining experience whilst on holiday?

We went to Lanzarote once and there was this steak house that some friends had fillet steaks cookied in honey rum. All of them got food poisoning from it D: needless to say the toilets in our villa were occuppied quite frequently and put a real downer on the rest of the week.

Only the year that I got this massive ulcer on my tongue during the Thanksgiving Holidays and couldn't eat - or talk - for like a week. And we'd gone to Ohio to visit my dad's cousin and my grandmother and stuff.

And this past Thanksgiving when my mom decided to get lazy and drag my dad & I somewhere -else- to eat. We were both livid with her. My dad & I are pretty antisocial IRL and then throw my mom -not- cooking on top of that? Blasphemy. Not to mention she doesn't even take time to do her yeast rolls or homemade mashed potatoes anymore. And the people's house we went to, the woman cooked almost nothing herself. There was no friggin' bird on a serving plate - it was a bunch of pre-cooked, dried out turkey breast in a big metal throw away pan, some gross pre-cooked, pre-shredded ham with red eye gravy already on it (gag), idk what else, but it was all -cold-. And gross. The guy who owns the property where they live said out loud "This looks like leftovers!! What the hell!? Sheila don't you leave none of your brownies! Except for that burnt piece right there...."

Visited Paris. Had a steak. Nearly died. I think it was because it was steak.

Get out. Steak is delicious. Unless you are vegetarian or allergic to meat, you have no right to dislike steak.
