I watched the movie and it was excellent.

As far as games, I haven't personally played but my friend Steve had it and I watched him play and it was creepy. I remember the hospital was scary and I think the school?

I would have to play this game during the day surrounded by people :P

Yes but the second movie was the biggest train wreck I have ever seen and perhaps the biggest disappointment as well. Even Jon Snow's beautiful babyface couldn't save it.

I found a whole bunch of incredibly amazing Silent Hill theories once, and one that stood out the most to me were references of Alice in Wonderland all through the games (#2 in particular, as far as I can remember). I can't find it now ;-; So this link will have to suffice. Interesting stuff!

Time to get lost in their world again ). I actually found this extremely long (and I mean novel-long) article regarding the psychology of Silent Hill, including the background on the myths that spawned the game. A little overwhelming at first but man, oh man, did that expound on the SH universe so well. I'm gonna try to find the article if I can

I find the silent hill world both haunting and captivating, and as many nightmares it gives me I can't help but love it.
The symbolism, the character development, the combat (HA, just kidding) and the artstyle are truly something else.
I havent checked out any of the later games past 3 though...
