Yes, but she's adopted.
EDIT: I'm Harry Mason, not Harry DaSilva.

(SPOILER)
Going back on topic though, I watched Lisa's death scene when trying to make an animated signature (evidently I gave up with that). Still hits right in the feels.
The only game in the series I've played is Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, which I liked in some ways, but disliked in others. Admittedly, I feel as though I only really enjoyed it because I knew the plot twist going in, and was looking at things in a different way because of that. The chase scenes felt like they were really unnecessary, and I would've enjoyed the game more if I was just exploring, and taking in the atmosphere. The chase scenes were jarring, but I know that they played a role in the story ultimately. I can't really say for sure without having played the other games, but I feel like they could've expressed the story they wanted to without trying to make it Silent Hill. :P
I also feel like I probably missed out on some sort of subtext involving the characters since I don't know what role they played in the original game. Eventually, I'd really like to at least play Silent Hills 1 and 3, since I spoiled myself on Silent Hill 2's plot, and also because Silent Hill 3 just looks the most interesting to me.
Vivi and I are going to do a playthough of Silent Hill 3! Does anyone else want to join us? I don't really think a playthrough of two warrants a new thread, so we'll probably just post our adventures here.
Do try and save me this time daughter. But if you can't, revenge is cool too.
It doesn't solve anything, but that's what I'm going to do.
I'm Michael Kaufmann.
Also, I would love to join in the Silent Hill 3 play through, but I don't have a copy of it to play. I still have never beat it. I got to the end, and then school ended and the copy of Silent Hill I played went with my old roommate.
Emulate it, man!
How can you expect your daughter to save you Harry when you couldn't even save me? You left me there!
(SPOILER)All I wanted was a hug.
Also, I was just thinking about this - but for a game released in 1999:
The emotion conveyed in that face, in a 1999 (well probably 1998 when it was being made...) FMV... astounding!
I would, I just don't like messing with emulators from the PS1 generation and onward. If I remember right, they get a little more complicated after that point, and I don't know what I'm doing. I also just really hate emulating a game unless there is absolutely no other way to play it/already own it. Not that me buying SH3 would be a sale for Konami since I'd buy it used.
Also, I just realized I should have made my avatar/sig of the private eye from SH3. My roommate and I liked to joke about him looking for the Origami Killer since I was playing that game around the same time as playing SH3. Oh well. Kaufmann is awesome.
SH3 spoilers: (SPOILER)So at the start of the game, Heather's sleeping in some dingy fast food joint at the mall instead of coming home and doing her homework. Even better, she calls me late and tells me she didn't even get me that thing I asked for. That thing was important.
If it weren't for her avoiding the creepy guy in a trench coat I'd be so very disappointed in her. Of course then she climbs out a bathroom window to get away from him, but can't even climb over some boxes in the alley to get back home. Instead she decides to go back into the mall where the creepy dude is. Except now the mall is filled with locked and broken doors and monsters. And when she finds a gun and shoots the first monster she uses every single bullet. Amateur hour over here I guess. She manages to locate a map, only to be once again defeated by some stacked boxes and palettes. Heading to the second floor, she manages to find an unlocked supply closet after being chased by another monster. Inside are some health drinks and ammo. There's another key on the floor under a palette, but she can't reach it because her arms aren't long enough and there are big heavy boxes sitting on it. As I begin sensing a theme here she decides to stay in the closet and cry a little wishing the monsters would go away.
There you have it folks. The daughter of the great Harry Mason.
Prove me wrong daughter. Prove me wrong.
(SPOILER)We'll see who's still alive when this is all over, how about that?
