They're better than us and they know it. Any fictional cat which does not adequately convey this is unbelievable.
The 2004 Masterpiece Catwoman starring unrivaled thespian Halle Berry put it best: "Cats come when they feel like it. Not when they're told." I think other lesser movies try to express this reality through sassmouthing.
