Not bad. I did like the joke of "thinks he's evil; is too useless to be evil" but the execution could do with some work. It would've worked better if you'd made the punchline a, well, punchline, rather than taking a paragraph to explain the joke.

Still, keep trying, I like this idea for a series and will watch how it develops. You have a big imagination!

The Guide to the Old ones may only last the third part, especially since there is one I"m needing to completely re-think as I realized the complete lack of sense it would actually make.

Really there are so many things to pull from Lovecraft, but so smurfing difficult to come up with people who I can match to them.
