I got a smartphone by mistake just last month. All I wanted was the cheapest phone that I could get for a second phone that had a qwerty keyboard, and then I realized that it was very different from any other phone that I have had. I actually prefer my old little LG, and I still have it, but my new Samsung does have it's little perks... of course they do cost more. I still mainly use it just for texting and getting work calls. I use my regular land line for all else... unless I'm traveling, but even then it's just for quick calls. It does take better pictures though than my little LG and I do like that. I found that the touchscreen though is just a little too touchy and I end up in places that I don't want to be a little too often.
