The Post-Ciddies Summer 2013 Thread (VOTE ON THESE SPEECHES NERDS)

The Ciddies are time when we come together and gloat about our performances on the forums for the past six months. Many are nominated, but few will win the awards they are up for. Even fewer are thanked and recognized for the hours toiled away behind the scenes of organization, coordination, planning and execution. Not this year, folks!

I'd like to dedicate this thread to everyone who put forth effort and time toward the Ciddies this year. You people are what make this event what it is and every year it just gets better and better. On that note, I'd like to take this moment to present The Man Behind The Curtain Award to Raistlin/Award Pimp who has done such a superbly phenomenal job of organizing the Ciddies this year. This man has such an incredibly busy schedule and somehow he's still managed to find time in his personal life to come through and pull out an amazing show this year. He even gave out cookies! Everyone give him a round of applause!

Moving right along to the rest of everyone who helped out. So many people contributed speeches this year. An incredible special thanks to Locky, Jiro, Loony BoB and Flying Mullet for stepping up to submit an overabundance of speeches this year. These folks narrating the awards are what I look forward to the most. (Let's be honest, no it isn't.) In all seriousness, though, they are all very busy people (except Loony BoB, he just hangs out on the internet all day) and for them to sit down and dedicate this time out of their lives in order to say something nice about the members and their productivity (see: spam) of this forum is something that should be recognized an appreciated.

Thank you, Award Pimp. Because of the wait, I've never been this excited about Ciddies. Denmark and I had a Ciddies parties with steak and booze because we were so smurfing excited. This has quite literally been the greatest Ciddies I've ever experienced, and I know for a fact that Denmark feels the same way.

Locky, you're my best friend. You deserve every Ciddie you win, and thank you so much for organizing speeches. You've stayed on top of us, and I know that every single person who wrote a speech is happy to have you on top of them.

I'm slightly drunk so forgive my frankness but I think Tara is one of the most hard working people for EoFF that has ever existed ever. When I go through trout times, or busy times, I back off. Tara is FULL smurfING ON. She is a beat from the North East (newcastle) and she wants to be doing everything because she is the best member. BEST MEMBER. In my opinion. I've won Best Member a lot and I think that someone who cares about EoFF as much as I do has a lot to say about what it takes to put effort into this place and she lives EoFF like I do. She cares so hard. She wants everything she does to be amazing, and she will make an effort like nobody else. If I were to have to pass on something to someone and want them to go the extra mile, it would be her.

I love Jiro too he's a proper bro but he was totally gone from the forums recently and focused on his real life world stuff, which he needed to do and I respect that megally. MEGALLY. That's a word for this speech thing. Anyway, I am all for his work ethic and his desire for EoFF to be the best thing ever.

I LOVE THESE GUYS THEY CARE. THEY ARE PASSIONATE. You have to respect how much they care. I think I recently told someone (they know who they are) that I may get crazy sometimes, and some other people can get crazy sometimes, but it's the crazy people who make EoFF what it is. Crazy people are the ones that are so passionate about EoFF that they are hardcore enough to make it that much better. They love it, they live it. The casual, more "let's just work on EoFF sometimes" people are the ones that get us from one crazy to the next, but the crazy people will make EoFF into the best site, they will push themselves to the limit just to make the place better. I was crazy, sometimes I still am. Sometimes stable people do some odd things but it's just to keep the place going. Crazy people will try to make EoFF GREAT. THE GREATEST. They will try until they fall smurfing over. They are the best. Jiro was the best when he was smurfing pushing like a bitch, and Tara is the best now. That's how I see things. I love these guys. Jiro left but I still love him. Tara is the best right now. Don't smurfing forget it, I know EoFF, I live EoFF, I see every statistic about this place and I do my best to know people around EoFF and the way I see it, these two have pushed EoFF from troutty 2011 levels to amazing 2013 levels and I believe that these are the kind of people that can take EoFF to a whole new level. I love them, I believe in them, and God knows I would do anything to help them. They are my friends, they are people I care about to no end, they are the future of Eyes on Final Fantasy and they will make this place like it was being built from the very beginning, from nothing. They will give their all. Don't ever forget them.

I'm really impressed at how smoothly the Ciddies ran this year and how great of a job Raist did for his first time running it! Splitting up the awards over a period of days was an interesting twist and I think it worked nicely. Also: Locky did a bang-up job with the speeches, this is honestly one of the better speech roundups I've seen. Great job to her and to all the speech writers!
