    Default The World's End

Must be some fans here of Shaun of the Dead and/or Hot Fuzz (right? right?!) - anyone been to see this yet (I think it's out in the US next month)? I didn't enjoy it as much as the aforementioned films and it's a bit out of control at times, but it is pretty good, and has some interesting things to say about getting older and looking back on the past. Plus it's a good move to effectively swap Simon Pegg and Nick Frost's usual roles.

Same here. I love a lot of their stuff, but didn't even hear about this one.

If I wasn't saving for a wedding, I would be all over this.

Saw it on Sunday. Loved it. Didn't really know what to expect - Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz you get a good idea from the film poster what you're letting yourself in for. This was a lot more vague and the pacing felt a bit off but once it got going it was very enjoyable and was certainly an interesting reflection on getting older. Plus it shows that they could just make a more serious comedy in a pub crawl setting and it'd actually... work.
