I was in Newark for a job interview recently. While the city does still have a lot of work ahead, the progress the people have made since I first visited (about ten years ago) is astonishing. The downtown area is quite pretty and the infrastructure is pleasing. It's not New York, but hey...nothing is.

I absolutely hate Bakersfield, CA. That ass-backwards town made me want to dragon kick a baby. San Francisco sucks, too. Bootleg-ass hipster Brooklyn...and the hipster neighborhoods in BK sure to begin with. Doppelgangers and imitations are even worse.
