The only anime I was able to watch really was Death Note. And it remains my single favorite television series ever.
My wife used to be a huge fan of Inuyasha, though, and of a whole bunch of other series too. I just end up a fan of the music she brings me from those series.

Okay, so I also enjoy Evangelion, Rah-Xephon, Samurai Champloo, Cowboy Beebop, Code Geass, various Miyazaki movies, Ghost in the Shell (in general), and other stuff I have seen here and there that I plan on watching.
Where's all the Outlaw Star fans out there? Cowboy Bebop gets all the sci-fi love but Outlaw Star is freaking awesome and, I much prefer it to Bebop.

Can someone just give me a quick spoiler-free synopsis of Cowboy Bebop? I'm afraid to read about it, because I don't want to be spoiled. But the few episodes I saw were lacking in discernible plot.

Honestly, most of the episodes in Cowboy Bebop don't really matter. It can basically be boiled down to a few key episodes that make it spectacular. The two parters of Jupiter Jazz and The Real Folk Blues. They also happen to be the middle and end of the series. There are a few good episodes here and there, but overall the show is great because of the wonderful direction, amazing music, and good writing when it counts. But most of all, it's fun!
Also, Sars is a terrible person for her dislike of FLCL. That is all.
Don't forget the episode titles. I'm not joking when I say that find them magical.
