The East Coast Australia Meetup '13

Time off work would be the toughest thing for me to sort out.

If all works out on that front, count me in. And since I prefer driving to flying, I'm happy to take anyone else coming from Sydney if they also like to do things the hard way.

Go-karting would be awesome.

I'm gonna start locking things in. I'll propose a plan of action for the 5th and 6th; everything else we can wing. If you have objections to any of the activities listed, better start sayin' 'em now 'cause I don't want people coming to visit me and being bored and/or annoyed.

The whole dreamworld/wet n' wild thing isn't high on my priority list and I don't think Tara is too keen on it either, but she's not around to ask atm. I've been to them all before, plus I'm not good with rollercoasters, and I went during school holidays once before and the lines were just... ugh.

That said, I am more than happy for it to still be a plan because I have family in qld and I should really go see them on one of the days/nights that I'm there, so let me know if/when that would be happening.

Oh yeah theme parks are a bust because I am smurfing poor and the gold coast is too far away from the rest of our fun

OK, OK, here's my itinery:

Arrive 7am Tuesday 2nd
Depart 8pm Sunday 6th

Here is my rough itinerary:

Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday are highly variable based on who is here and what you all want to do. We can go and explore the city and do whatever. Foodwise, we will probably all pitch in and do some great cookups, I got an alright kitchen and Woolies/Aldi/Coles is within walking distance.

Friday night I suggest we get pancakes for dinner because smurf the man. (Not you, Freed.) We can go to a dodgy bar and play pool or do karaoke or whatever; again, it's kind of up to you guys because I've not explored many places here. (Also just playing vidya is always an option.)

Saturday we are going to the zoo. Also, laser tag. We can also head to the beach and whatever else, hopefully the weather holds up for us and we can getin all my favourite coastal activities. Should be pretty nifty.

Sunday we relax because Kent is leaving. Same thing goes from there on in really; we do whatever you guys want until you all bugger off

How's the sleeping arangements? I can bring an air mattress, will I also need sheets etc?

We have enough things to sleep on, but if you can bring a blanket or something that would be brill. It should be pretty smurfing hot though.

Today Kent and I:

• Bought groceries
• Drove out to visit some of his family
• Played New Super Mario Bros. Wii with Emma and did somewhere between average and okay.
• Played squash and managed to wound ourselves significantly
• Ate delicious burgers for dinner
• Slept in the car 'cause we're tuckered out

All this and more at the 2013 East Coast Australia Meet up! Tomorrow Sir Lancealot arrives (I hope!) and more good times are bound to follow.
