Thread: A word of warning about Advent Children

Default A word of warning about Advent Children

Don't put it on and go to sleep. It reverts to the menu when it's done playing back. The menu music is "One Winged Angel."

I made this mistake, and ended up having a nightmare about killing someone pretty brutally.

This music was my "lullaby" so often. I only had cool dreams about Final Fantasy when I had them.

Who was the nightmare about? This is important.

Probably the guy who came up with the storyline for Advent Children.

My older sister, who is the only one of my sisters to ever play Final Fantasy. I had assumed that association, as well as the association of the string part in "One Winged Angel" with the score for the Albert Hitchcock movie Psycho were the roots of the dream.

    No Freudian analysis, please.

If you have the ability to turn off your brain, Advent Children is okay. Kinda like Jackass, or most of Family Guy.

Are you sure this was a nightmare?

A while back, this was my text tone.

And one night I forgot to turn my phone on Silent and got a text at 2 in the morning...

    I crapped myself.

Seeing as my sister is alive, and has a baby girl now nearing a year old, yes, I'm sure.

I actually can't even remember what the storyline was.

Just to be clear about it: I put the movie on and went to sleep.

It's a glorified action figure commercial, and anyone who says else is a :goomba:

I LOVE music-inspired nightmares. (SPOILER)For me the usual nightmare means nothing to me. I usually fully take part in gruesome murder and mayhem in my dreams or just sit by apathetically like when I dreamt about people chopping off people's heads and keeping them in boiling pots of water/microwaves/ovens to "Keep them dead." For me, my only "nightmares" are the ones I have while napping during the day when I realize I'm asleep and constantly see myself where I last was when I started the nap and am constantly trying to wake up and each time I "wake up" it feels so real.
    Jack: How do you know?

Will: It's more of a feeling really.

Jack: Well, that's not scientific. Feeling isn't knowing. Feeling is believing. If you believe it, you can't know because there's no knowing what you believe. Then again, no one should believe what they know either. Once you know anything that anything becomes unbelievable if only by virtue of the fact you now... know it. You know?

    Will: No.

If Demolition Man were remade today

Huxley: What's wrong? You broke contact.
Spartan: Contact? I didn't even touch you.
Huxley: Don't you want to make love?
Spartan: Is that what you call this? Why don't we just do it the old-fashioned way?
    Huxley: NO!
    Spartan: Whoa! Okay, calm down.
Huxley: Don't tell me to calm down!
Spartan: What's gotten into you? 'Cause it sure as hell wasn't me.
Huxley: Physical relations in the way of intercourse are no longer acceptable John Spartan.
Spartan: What? Why the hell not?
Huxley: It's the law, John. And for your information, the very idea that you suggested it makes me feel personally violated.
Spartan: Wait a minute... violated? Huxley what the hell are you accusing me of here?
Huxley: You need to leave, John.
    Spartan: But Huxley.
    Huxley: Get out!
Moments later Spartan is arrested for "violating" Huxley.

By the way, that's called satire. Get over it.
