2: Dark Souls

Judging from a few of your titles (Deus Ex, Hitman: Absolution) you don't mind a bit of exploring, creative problem solving, a challenge, and "smart gameplay" in general. It's why I dare to recommend Dark Souls to you. Don't be afraid, it's not that hard.
