I only just watched Starship Troopers so I'm a little behind. But I joined this club with the intention of watching people's favorite movies and gosh darnit I will do that. I'll probably get to Boy this week.

I never heard of Boy. Eager to see what this is going to be about. I don't like reading too much about a film before I watch it.

I finally have some free time on my hands so I will catch up witch Rantz's movie and Nicky's movie! Let's let everyone have this week as a freebie and start this up again come next week!

Probably... I still have to watch Boy, which I'm looking forward to. If nobody else needs any catch up, I can list my choice. Either works for me.

Watched Boy finally. It was an interesting look at Maori life. A lot of parts were very funny, such as this exchange (made me lol):

Boy (talking about their dad): He even has a Green Beret.
Ruckie: What's that?
Boy: Duh, a type of hat.

Ruckie was my favorite character. I really liked his relationship with the mentally challenged man, and how that man looked out for those boys more than their real father did. Boy kind of annoyed me for the most part, but I liked when he stood up to his dad in the end. Overall, I'm not really into these 'coming of age' stories that focus on relationships rather than plot (in the end nothing really happened), but I found Boy charming for the New Zealand tie-in.

Also, do they just leave little kids alone in New Zealand for days at a time with no adults around?

I'll mostly be watching the movies that I haven't seen already because I tend to dislike watching movies more often than once every five or so years. I've yet to watch Network or Boy, so I'll be sure to catch up at some point... looking forward to 'em.
