Thread: What!! The car broka down?!

Default What!! The car broka down?!

I always read this guy's line in Mario's voice.

In Cosmo Canyon, after the buggy malfunctions, you have the option of talking to the Village People-ish guy, and he'll offer to fix the buggy.

If you don't, the buggy gets fixed anyhow...

Why add that, if it's not necessary?"Do you think this scene should have been cut?"

I believe you miss out on the mention of the hidden item in the inn (which is an Elixir), if you don't talk to him. Although the item itself is still there.

The bigger question is, why do you let the car break down? You have to drive past a new town for that to happen. Who does that? Plus, you miss a Fort Condor battle.
My friend Delzethin is currently running a GoFundMe account to pay for some extended medical troubles he's had. He's had chronic issues and lifetime troubles that have really crippled his career opportunities, and he's trying to get enough funding to get back to a stable medical situation. If you like his content, please support his GoFundMe, or even just contribute to his Patreon.

He can really use a hand with this, and any support you can offer is appreciated.

It seems it's been too long since I played it...it's one of those games I ran into the ground a long time ago. I don't know if I'll ever play it again.

So he tells you where an Elixir is, then...it still seems kind of unnecessary, but I suppose it is a nice little touch.

    Jack: How do you know?

Will: It's more of a feeling really.

Jack: Well, that's not scientific. Feeling isn't knowing. Feeling is believing. If you believe it, you can't know because there's no knowing what you believe. Then again, no one should believe what they know either. Once you know anything that anything becomes unbelievable if only by virtue of the fact you now... know it. You know?

    Will: No.

If Demolition Man were remade today

Huxley: What's wrong? You broke contact.
Spartan: Contact? I didn't even touch you.
Huxley: Don't you want to make love?
Spartan: Is that what you call this? Why don't we just do it the old-fashioned way?
    Huxley: NO!
    Spartan: Whoa! Okay, calm down.
Huxley: Don't tell me to calm down!
Spartan: What's gotten into you? 'Cause it sure as hell wasn't me.
Huxley: Physical relations in the way of intercourse are no longer acceptable John Spartan.
Spartan: What? Why the hell not?
Huxley: It's the law, John. And for your information, the very idea that you suggested it makes me feel personally violated.
Spartan: Wait a minute... violated? Huxley what the hell are you accusing me of here?
Huxley: You need to leave, John.
    Spartan: But Huxley.
    Huxley: Get out!
Moments later Spartan is arrested for "violating" Huxley.

By the way, that's called satire. Get over it.

Battles at Fort Condor take place throughout the story. There are far more than just the first and last one, and each will net you an item for winning (and some pretty rare items if you take part in all the battles).

One of them takes place during the events of Cosmo Canyon, before you enter the Cave of the Gi. If the buggy breaks down, you can't get back to Fort Condor (since you can't cross the river), so you can't take part.
