I did the same, but since it's only 6 levels in (I could only start playing phase 4 monday morning), Maerin will be reborn as a keeper of the moon on the 24th. Arcanist, of course.

I selected Roegadyn female because I'm a little drunksies, but I actually picked a Roegadyn male.

I went with Miqo'te female. After the beta ended though I fooled around with the character editor to help through the withdrawals. I ended up crafting an Elezen male in the image of Magus from Chrono Trigger. Now I am undecided in what I want -_-

I'm really surprised more people didn't pick Hyur, male, since they're probably the most relatable characters, and because the big guys have the all-around best starting stats in the game. Very interesting.
