Word is that Sandra Bullock and George Clooney are both up for nominations which confuses me because George Clooney hardly did anything in the film except be himself and Sandra has pretty tough competition with Blue Jasmine's Cate Blanchett.
I know![]()
Going to see this tonight![]()
Maybe that was just part of the IMAX experience.

Saw Gravitiy today. It was a pretty great experience. I don't want to say 'movie' because it felt like more of a ride than a movie. I'm glad I saw it in 3D because you don't get the full experience otherwise. But is it something I'd watch over and over again? Probably not.
The visuals were mind-blowing. I flinched several times during one particular scene. You all know the one. Amazing use of 3D and definitely worth the 3D price. Sandra Bullock was also pretty great, and necessarily so.

I thought this film was good. It wasn't as mind-blowing as I was expecting and I'm not really sure why? I enjoyed it and all, but I kind of wish the end had been different - I wish they had left it open for your own interpretation.
Also, Sandra was great but I don't think she was outstanding, purely because I don't know how else she could have acted that part. I think it was more of a very well written part than all her acting.
That is a mind blowing movie after a long time. Everything is awesome about it. The best part you won't believe is that except Sandra and Clooney nothing's real..fascinating huh.

Jack: How do you know?
Will: It's more of a feeling really.
Jack: Well, that's not scientific. Feeling isn't knowing. Feeling is believing. If you believe it, you can't know because there's no knowing what you believe. Then again, no one should believe what they know either. Once you know anything that anything becomes unbelievable if only by virtue of the fact you now... know it. You know?
Will: No.
If Demolition Man were remade today
Huxley: What's wrong? You broke contact.
Spartan: Contact? I didn't even touch you.
Huxley: Don't you want to make love?
Spartan: Is that what you call this? Why don't we just do it the old-fashioned way?
Huxley: NO!
Spartan: Whoa! Okay, calm down.
Huxley: Don't tell me to calm down!
Spartan: What's gotten into you? 'Cause it sure as hell wasn't me.
Huxley: Physical relations in the way of intercourse are no longer acceptable John Spartan.
Spartan: What? Why the hell not?
Huxley: It's the law, John. And for your information, the very idea that you suggested it makes me feel personally violated.
Spartan: Wait a minute... violated? Huxley what the hell are you accusing me of here?
Huxley: You need to leave, John.
Spartan: But Huxley.
Huxley: Get out!
Moments later Spartan is arrested for "violating" Huxley.
By the way, that's called satire. Get over it.
I wanna go see it but my boyfriend and friends are like "NO!". The whole asphyxiating (I assume) in a spacesuit is a bit traumatic for them...![]()
Pussies. Go without them and then choke them in their sleep. Fears come true.![]()
It was a fine film. Did not need to be in 3D. The fact that every critic said it had to be seen in 3D is troubling to me. I'm not sure what's to become of contemporary cinema.
