To increase the difficulty I think I won't evolve Pikachu and maybe toss in a few other new ones like you suggest. I have a 7-man rotation and I should probably increase it to 10.

In the first half of the game WT is amazing, and you can get some decent late game stuff early, and given how long the games been out, quite a few people are WTing starters and FSZ only Pokemon, so those are even greater hauls. But the closer you get to the end of the game, the less good things you can get, because most of it you can catch yourself, minus the FSZ stuff anyway.

WT is quite a bit of fun. It also makes your team rather interesting up until the 4th or 5th gym if you're doing the WT challenge. It can be annoying do to the level caps set by the badges and how quickly you can EXP. So very annoying.

Worth mentioning in my opinion: Wonder Trade is not region-locked, so it is also a fantastic way to pick up French, German, and Japanese Pokédex entries, depending on when you do it.

Really playing the wrong game then. That's kind of, y'know, the entire basis of the Kalos region.

AlthoughI guess that does explain why we have a Champion who does absolutely nothing to stop the bad guys.

Currently I'm trying to capture Xerneas. I really hate the way they make you catch the Legendary during the story. Putting the entire plot and progression on hold for the five thousand attempts it takes to get a decent stat role is a real damper on the series. Even with the new IV mechanics for the Unknown Egg Group, this sucks.

20 possible combinations for the 3 perfect IVs to be inherited. If you have a particular setup in mind (for Xerneas, I recommend HP, SpA, and Speed), that's a 1 in 20 chance. Oh, but you also only have a 50% chance of getting the proper Nature with Synchronize (go Modest. With Geomancy almost nothing will outspeed you anyway). So you're looking at 1 in 40 just for the main stats. If you want either Def or SpD to be decent, you'll be looking at additional rerolls.

At least with Mewtwo I could go on with the story, unlock the rest of the game, and do other things until I felt like going back to grind captures for a few hours.

Hah, no wonde rI could never find a Rotom, when I first got to the Lost Hotel there was no info about what day he spawned, just that he was in the trash cans. I eventually got 1 from GTS, and another from WT, so I never went back looking. Same with Banette only spawning on Thursdays, I got a Shuppet from GTS, so never went looking.

I got Pokerus at some point. Left my game unplayed for a day or so, and it was gone. Taking advantage of what the game has to offer, me!

Apparently keeping the Pokerus Pokemon in the PC means it doesn't go away. Here's hoping! I'm gonna infect a bunch of random Pokemon and then WT them.
