I have worked full time hours this week, been preparing for Christmas and we had server downtime. I can only stretch myself so far until I snap.
Sorry that an online singing contest wasn't top of my priorities this week. I'll do it now shall I?
There's no need to get upset or rude, Locky. People appreciate the hand you've had in running events and contributing to the site - but it's been almost three weeks since your last post in this thread, so it's not surprising that people might be getting impatient, or at least curious if they've heard nothing from you as the host.
I mentioned in chat yesterday that I thought we may be having something of an event/participation burnout - in the last few weeks we've had Karaoke, Ciddies, Post Secret, the server move, Candy Canes, Secret Santa and the Christmas Card Exchange, EoFF's Anniversary, brainstorming around fundraising, the EoFF Timeline, and now we have people signing up for Eyes on You. It's a lot of activity for anyone to take on during a major holiday season, let alone volunteering to host two major events mostly by yourself that seem to have lingered on unfinished as a result.
It's great that members are so excited in participating, and it can be difficult for anyone to balance seeing things through to completion with having a life and dealing with other commitments. Everyone's time is important, but if people are actively contributing to an event that you are running, then you need to honour that. It doesn't take much effort to pop in and say "Sorry I'm tied up with things, but I haven't forgotten about this and we'll resume activity in a few days", or ask to delegate your responsibilities - and it doesn't take much on the other end to be a bit understanding that people have lives outside of EoFF, either.

While I agree it's good to know what the intentions are for restarting, sometimes asking what the intentions are for restarting is better than saying "Shouldn't you be doing this now?".
I guess what I'm trying to say is Merry Christmas! Let's just be happy and look forward to when it starts up again.
