In NZ, Boxing Day is the best day of the year because everyone just goes to the beach and eats leftovers and plays with all of their new stuff. Even though it's going to be dark and miserable here, I requested Boxing Day off so that I can light a gazillion candles and read and huddle in blankets and swill hot toddies and watch Black Books in peace. People should stop shopping on holidays.
