Having just watched the first episode I must confess that I'm not as disappointed with it as I expected to be.
The opening song not being moonlight densetsu was a bit of a disappointment though.
Tuxedo mask seems to be even more useless than original but its just one episode so far. so I'm with holding judgement on him, except no rose throwing is a plus. does anyone know how old he is meant to be?
hopefully we'll get more info on what happened on the moon, beyond the whole beryl and metallia killing everyone thing we already know.
On the plus side it looks like they are not going to waste an episode on the crybaby and go straight to Ami.
for the record saturn is my fave senshi.

I was pretty much the exact same as the original anime's first episode, which is fine. x}
TWO WEEKS UNTIL THE NEXT ONE UGH I CANNOT WAIT
I just watched the first episode and I'm really happy with it. It's more or less exactly the same as the original first episode, but I was expecting that since that was one of the few episodes that was exactly like the manga.
The biggest change I could see is that they actually spent time on the dreams of the Silver Millenium, and they're apparently wasting no time getting to Mercury. If this episode is any indication, they really are going to follow the manga like they said this time around.
The only nitpick I had is the new transformation... I mean it's cool and all, I just don't know how I feel about the CGI.
They also made commecial bumpers for the episode, so I'm curious if we will in fact see it on TV one day.
I love it.
I just read that they are going to dub it.
And Johnny Yong Bosch- AKA the 2nd Black Ranger in Power Rangers- is gonna voice Artemis.

Yeah, its because they're following the manga. In the manga he's pretty useless in battle for most of thr first story arc because he doesn't actually have any powers at all until late in said arc, if I recall correctly.

I have a bad feeling the incredibly fast pace of the manga may hurt them in the long run, but I immensely enjoyed what flashed across my computer monitor for 20+ minutes. Having the original voice actress reprise her role as Usagi was a big plus. Everyone looks amazing and the moment where she said her transformation phrase gave me goosebumps.
That part where the chorus starts and they're all blasting their powers all over the place is amaaazzzzzing.
I like Kung-Fu.
