Wow, it looks, a lot more...mature in art style, like the manga. I can't wait to see what the transformations look like. I also hope they use more of the manga attacks this time around that they completely ignored for whatever reason in the original anime.

The anime was being made at the same time the manga was being produced, that's what caused a lot of the changes. The Doom Tree Arc came about because the anime had to wait for the manga to catch up.Originally Posted by DMKA

It's been said the new anime was going to follow the manga more closely and the artwork would seem to be indicative of that. I'm wondering how closely, though. I can't see them being able to pull off the Hellsing Ultimate/Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood thing as well because the manga's pacing is quick and I can't see a twenty minute episode coming out of it if they followed it frame by frame.
