That's quite a claim. Now I really want to play this game.
Many people didn't like it but they didn't understand the last part. And it being the best for me is no claim, it is a fact. I didn't say it is the best in general.

It is simply a happy ending like it was announced.
Ok, I have to say, I really, really hate this argument (just in general, I am still trying to avoid spoilers, so I'm not actually reading your ending spoilers). But I have to say, the "you just didn't understand it" argument is a completely ridiculous claim 95% of the time I hear it. People said that about Mass Effect III's ending. But I definitely understood that one (more than most of the defenders of it did, in fact), it was just badly written and out of place for the series. The "you just didn't get it" is most frequently used by people who are defending nonsensical or poorly written writing as "deep" or "artistic".

All of your posts and descriptions got me excited (except for the whole "time limit" thing, because that's still a horrible idea in an RPG), but that one line is honestly having me question whether I want to pick this up. I highly doubt it's going to be an ending I don't understand. But I don't want to go through another unsatisfying ending to a long series. FFXIII-2's ending was pathetic enough as it is, I'd rather pass on a repeat.
