Neverwinter - A Half-hearted screenshot LP

Because I finally found an MMO that I enjoy, and most people don't seem to know about it yet, I'm going to attempt to do an LP of it. This computer being ass means my screenshots won't be as pretty as the game can be, but it won't be all ugly either. So I'm going to start things off with a multiple choice poll where you folks can choose my characters Race/Class/Gender, as it's multiple choice, please vote for each, and after a couple days, or if something overwhelmingly takes the lead I'll start.

And here we have links to the Neverwinter wiki describing the Races/Classes for those of you that don't know what they are, and if you notice there are some races I didn't list, that's because you need to buy them, and I'm not doing that, yet =P. Eventually there will be paragon paths for me to choose, I'll ask you fine folks for input on that as well, but not so much the every level type points, mainly because of how fast you level at the start of the game I'd have to stop playing every few minutes then wait a few hours for a response. But every 10 levels you can choose stat points, that I will let you guys pick.

And, as for what the character will be named, I think I'll pull an Unne and have it be a lottery, whoever votes in the pull will get entered into the draw, and when I make the character I'll pick a random name and they'll get to choose what my character will be stuck with.

I tried really hard to like this game but the pay-to-win aspect kinda killed it for me.

That said, Devoted Clerics are, or were, hilarious when I played.

Also, once I get to the point that I can get Companions they each their own names too, so that's something else for you guys to choose There's also background/history/deity options too now that I think about it.

Edit: So, apparently I can actually stream this decently, so I may end up streaming the character creation and whoever is watching gets to choose the characters Background/History/Deity cause there are way to many options to post in here xD.

Given my new-found capability to stream this game somewhat decently, I'll start the LP either next Saturday (So more people can see the stream) or when the total voters gets to 20 (So I can roll a D20 to determine who gets to name the character), whichever happens first.

If Saturday happens first I'll start streaming around 2pm AST (Maybe sooner or later depending on what my sleep pattern is like by then.) If 20 voters happens first I'll still stream the character creation, but depending on when I notice it may be the middle of the day/night, so if no one's around to watch the stream I'll have to choose the character's History/Background/Deity myself. Either way I'll still take screenshots, at least 1 at max settings just so everyone can see what the character is supposed to look like.

As long as I'm playing I'll be streaming, so always feel free to drop in (I won't be talking unless I have the house to myself and I know people are watching the stream, but I will check the twitch chat box every once and awhile.) And as for screenshots I'll try and take one of important NPCs (So far I'm only really encountered 1), bosses (because the game is nice enough to zoom into to them for a second or two before the fight starts), and at least one a day of the online Character Sheet to show what the characters stats/gear is (I'd link to a page similar to what WoW/FF14/D3 have where everyone can view it directly but sadly this game doesn't seem to have that).

There was basically an exploit with Astral Diamonds that let people completely screw server economies and the auction house, which as a result, they ended up rolling back servers to 24 hours before the exploit was discovered because the exploit was so bad and widespread that they couldn't just strip stuff from the offenders.

Ahhh, I see, I'm glad I only started playing recently, and it turns out the Hunter Ranger was released on the Dec. 5th update.

And thus the adventures of Katherine Marina the Half-Elf Trickster Rogue begin!

After washing up on shore after her boat was attacked by a Dracolich (That's no fun, lemme tell ya!) she had to fight through hordes of undead to try and reach the safety of the city, along the way she had to cross a long ass bridge where she encountered The Harbinger.

After soundly defeating the giant beast (and sadly watching her new friend die) she makes it safely into Protector's Enclave.

After navigating the large city she finally makes it to the Hall of Justice.

Where she informs Sergeant Knox of the things that have transpired.

Being the only combat ready person available at the moment the good sergeant asks her to investigate strange noises being heard from the Vault below the Hall. But not before exploring the city some more and taking a portal to relax at the Moonstone Mask.

What awaits her in the Vault? Only time (and the next update) can tell.

I love this game! I'm level 32 and have just been playing at leisure so it isn't hard to get up in the ranks.

It's a great game, especially if you know anything about Neverwinter Nights/D&D . My main is a level 30 Male Half-Orc Great Weapon Fighter.

As long as people seem interested I'll keep going, I'll either do a post per lair/dungeon/skirmish or a post per zone, but the zone ones wouldn't be as detailed, and they'd be longer.

Right now I'm hunting down the Scrying Stones on my GWF so I don't have to die on the Trickster Rogue xD.
