Grin Final Fantasy VII - Best in the series :D

Haven't seen one of these threads in forever so lets talk about why Final Fantasy VII is the best in the series.

Aside from being the best game ever, it has now reached sales of 9.8m (highest amount of any final fantasy game).

Anyone who has a different opinion is clearly a jealous so n so who clearly doesn't recognize the true greatness that is Final Fantasy VII

I am glad that so many stories and especially Final Fantasy can still impress me today, that the Fabula Nova Crystallis has become one of my favourites makes me very happy but always having my memories about Final Fantasy VII and getting to its Compilation will be the best Final Fantasy experience for me.

Does anyone know how many copies it has actually sold to date? The 9.8 million figure is like 5 years old and predates PSN and Steam versions. I'm sure it is well over 10 by now.

The 9.8M was actually the figure updated in November this year:

Final Fantasy VII is one of those rare gems I don't think can ever be emulated. Well constructed story, fun gameplay, a loveable cast of characters and I'm pretty sure it made an entire generation of gamers cry at 'you know what'. It's also one of those games that pretty much had everything that could be said about it, said about it. Whether it was positive, negative, or general indifference, after sixteen years since it was released it's still being talked about. As well as the love triangle debate that is discussed with the same fire you would expect to see from religious and politic threads.

This game is the best in the series if only for the line

"Ok, dog, I'm gonna dog nap you."

    Also Omnislash.

I'm sorry, but as much as I adore FF7, I think it was bested not only by FF9, but FF12 and it's own prequel, Crisis Core.
All three of those games had more of my time invested.
