Here are some random ones that just hit my mind just now.

Pretty much all FF music is awesome! Most of my favourites come from Crisis Core though, probably because of the depth of feeling that goes into them.

Some of my favourites:

Crisis Core - A Moment of Courtesy - Not entirely sure why I like this, but its probably one of my favourite tracks - just makes me smile every time I hear it

Crisis Core - The Price of Freedom - Still can bring a tear to me eye if I let it!

Crisis Core - Credits Medley - just an awesome medley of FFVII music!

FFXI - The Sanctuary of Zi'Tah The best music in FFXI, I'd go into this zone occasionally just to listen to the music.... probably the only good thing about camping the Keeper so often and never getting a drop!

I don't tend to clock music from many other games...they're alright, but no FF!
The few I remember would be: Some of the field music from the Star Oceans were really good. The music in Disgaea and Persona 3 (only one I played) were different, but so catchy! Oh and for some retro - Phantasy Star 4 had some fantastic music!

What ARE you talking about, Final Fantasy VIII objectively has the best soundtrack of all time. There's also FF7 and Clannad, but FF8 takes it.

Touhou has some of my fav tracks of all time, but the remixes are seriously better than the original versions for the most part thanks to the improved sound quality.

May i present Metal Gear, providing amazing music for multiple generations.

Wavelet Metal Gear 2 was in all ways superior to the first and that includes music. Its soundtrack is surprisingly good and I'd say this is the best song on it.

I agree with everything else on this list besides this. "Theme of Solid Snake" and "Zanzibar Breeze" are easily some of the best tunes in MG history, let alone MG2.

Seriously though, Tales of Legendia has one of the most overlooked OSTs in any game I've ever played.

Oh, oh wait... what's that there... Yes, it's the theme that has represented the Elder Scrolls franchise since Morrowind, the theme so beautiful that it cannot be replaced, only remixed, rewritten, replayed. I would put the hour long youtube loops of this on and LEAVE them on!

Sacrifice - Winning music: Hoooooooly crap how could I let this slip my mind? One of my all time favorite games and I forget one of my favorite tunes from it? Sacrifice has a ton of beautiful and atmospheric tunes based on which area you're playing in.

James, God of Earth's theme for the Glebe suits it so well with its deep and powerful sounds, similar to the strangely creeping and haunting tune of Pyro, god of fire and creation and how it suits Pyro's realm so perfectly.. However the victory theme is intense because just as easily could that be taken from you, but it lets you know that you can win, you can do it, you're almost there!

I'll just leave the FF games be since this is a FF site and we're all aware of them anyway. I have about 350 video game songs in my music library and the majority of it besides FF comes from Smash Bros. Brawl and various Capcom fighting games.

Deus Ex : HR was pretty sexy too. Ifeel like they really captured the essence of what the game's atmosphere was like in the soundtrack. The first time I heard the Main Menu Theme I nearly creamed my pants. And that was before I even started playing.
