This is a stupid award. First of all, blogs on Eyes on Final Fantasy are underutilised. Like, seriously, there's a super great platform, but just -- nobody gives a smurf. And that's sad because a lot of our members have niche areas of interest and are quite clever and there's a lot of great stuff that happens on the blogs, but even the good bloggers don't do it with any sort of regularity and so it's just stagnating and this sentence has gone on for too long. Point: make more blogs, read more blogs, comment more blogs, blogs, blogs, blogs, blogs. How gross is the word blogs?
Secondly, there are like three people that aren't editors that make articles. Like, I don't want to take anything away from the staff but they have an award for doing their job it's called the Highwind and Best Editor and it really makes it hard for those handful of other people to get some real tangible credit for the effort they put in.
The two component parts aren't even equal or related to each other. Like are you seriously going to tell me you believe that anyone could win this on the basis of having a real great blog? Hella no. It's gonna be people working their butts off for the front site and those people are more likely than not gonna be editors and while they deserve all the smurfing praise in the world -- don't even get me started on that, I'm saving it for #7 Best Editor -- but like come on guys what about THE LITTLE GUYS.
So I am sure whoever won the award definitely deserves it but the award is still stupid and I hope that come next Ciddies we can see a dramatic shift in life the universe and everything, incl. how we look at blogging, front sites, and uh, stuff. Yeah. Thank you. Now let me catch up on all this stuff I missed because I am a useless trout.
