I'll play this game at some point, but I'm holding out until a PS4.

I thought AC3 had the best gameplay of the series with a nice variety of things to do, but the worst setting, main character, and story. I didn't hate Connor but I didn't really get attached to him either like with Ezio or to a lesser extent Altair, and traveling through Italy and Istanbul was much more fun than wandering around in Colonial America (though the Frontier was cool). These things are important to me, and so I'm a little concerned with the direction of this series since you mention the story in AC4 is again pretty weak.
