The Squee Arena: Which characters would you choose?

This is a hypothetical: What if Square Enix assembled a cast of characters from the favorited franchises to battle it out in a one-on-one dueling tournament? As the title of the thread reads: Which characters would you choose? By that, I mean of course to imply, which characters would you hope would be in the game?

I'm going to try to avoid mentioning FF characters since I've made my opinion about VII clear multiple times.

Here's a list of who I'd want to see:
Crono, Frog, Slash, and Magus from Chrono Trigger
Serge, Glenn, Norris, Harle, and Lynx from Chrono Cross
Sora, Riku, Axel, and Xemnas from Kingdom Hearts
Aya from Parasite Eve
Fei, Id, Billy, Emeralda, and Krelian from Xenogears
Neku, Beat, and Sho from TWEWY
Sion, Volt, Dominique, and Dauragon from Bouncer
Red and Blue from Saga Frontier
Ashley, Sydney, and Rosencrantz from Vagrant Story
Angelo and Jessica from Dragon Quest VIII
Fayt and Albel from SOTET

I'm sure there are more I could list, but that's enough out of me. Your turn.

Final Fantasy characters not allowed? I use a bit of them sparingly through out the game, but perhaps lesser used ones that don't get much attention.

Geno and Sora to be tacked on to your list, your list is very long for a fighting game. If they were to do this I bet they would just steal 1 or 2 from each game.

I would hope Yuna would be in it as both the summoner and the gunner, but I'm willing to bet it'd look something more like,

Cloud and Sephiroth (Final Fantasy VII)
Sora and Riku (Kingdom Hearts)
Lara Croft (Tomb Raider)
Whoever the main two from Dragon Quest are
Tidus and Yuna may get on there due to the FFX HD and you just know they'd find a way to throw Lightning into the mix.

I only said that "I" wouldn't list Final Fantasy characters as I have a planet-sized bias toward VII, so my roster would include characters like Genesis, Sephiroth, Cloud and Zack, Barret and Dyne, Cid, Tifa and Zangan, Weiss, Shelke, Vincent, Yuffie, Reno, Rude, Elfe, Rufus, Yazoo and Loz, Nanaki, Seto, Big Bro, Dio, Scotch and Kotch, Hojo (Lifeform), Cissnei, Katana

anyway, I misrepresented the idea as a one-on-one, I actually intended something like Playstation All-stars or Smash Bros. just fyi
