Default Capturing Images From a PSP

I am thinking of doing a Let's Play of Final Fantasy Type-0. It's an awesome game, and I would love to expose more people to it.

One of the challenges facing me is that I don't know of an easy, reliable way to pull images off a PSP (nor do I know of a good emulator).

Anyone who could help me with this would be appreciated.
My friend Delzethin is currently running a GoFundMe account to pay for some extended medical troubles he's had. He's had chronic issues and lifetime troubles that have really crippled his career opportunities, and he's trying to get enough funding to get back to a stable medical situation. If you like his content, please support his GoFundMe, or even just contribute to his Patreon.

He can really use a hand with this, and any support you can offer is appreciated.

Emulator: PPSSPP. I used this to stream FF1. It has a few bugs, but it works pretty well. Some games don't work reliably at all though. Check here for your game.

Video capture from PSP: I know of two options. If you have a video capture card in your computer and cables like these, you can do it that way. (A video capture card is not the same as a video card. You will know if you have a video capture card, because you will have spent a lot of money on it and it does only video capture.)

If you have a PSP with custom firmware, you can use a program called RemoteJoyLite. I can't link you to instructions because as near as I can tell, this program has no official website. There are a bunch of shady .zip files floating around on free download sites, and a bunch of crappy YouTube videos showing how to use it. Best bet is search for the exact version of custom firmware you use plus "RemoteJoyLite" and then do some praying. You might have to self-sign some PSP drivers and force Windows to allow them. It took me hours to get this set up. But once it's set up, you can stream video from your PSP to your computer via a USB cable.

If all you want is screenshots and not video, most custom firmware for PSPs has a hotkey for taking a screenshot and dumping it into a folder on the memory stick. Check the documentation for your custom firmware.

If you don't know what custom firmware is, you can read PlayStation Portable homebrew - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia for a basic intro. Custom firmware uses some vulnerability on the PSP to overwrite the system software with custom software that runs unofficial programs, which the official PSP firmware won't. Installing custom firmware is too involved for me to go into here, but search around and you'll find info. Beware that doing it wrong might brick your PSP.
