I've played all except MK4 and the adventure games. I own Armageddon. I've also played MKvDC which is my motivation for wanting to play Injustice and my wish for Midway to produce a Star Wars fighting game.
Recently, my most favored of favorite characters are: Scorpion (long-running series favorite), Ermac, Cyrax, and Kenshi

Huxley: Don't tell me to calm down!
Spartan: What's gotten into you? 'Cause it sure as hell wasn't me.
Huxley: Physical relations in the way of intercourse are no longer acceptable John Spartan.
Spartan: What? Why the hell not?
Huxley: It's the law, John. And for your information, the very idea that you suggested it makes me feel personally violated.
Spartan: Wait a minute... violated? Huxley what the hell are you accusing me of here?
Huxley: You need to leave, John.
Spartan: But Huxley.
Huxley: Get out!
Moments later Spartan is arrested for "violating" Huxley.
By the way, that's called satire. Get over it.
Shaolin monks was craaazy underrated. Top 5 co op game I ever played.
I enjoyed all the MK games although I never played 4. I wish I bought the reboot but I just feel it wouldn't be able to compete with the other games I play.

I think you'd probably like the reboot though. I wouldn't say it's at the same level as Street Fighter or Guilty Gear, but it is a pretty solid fighting game, and the story mode is one of the best I've ever seen. Plus it's kind of interesting to see Raiden trying to change the past and how differently some things go.
I'm curious to see where they take the story from here. I'm guessing the next game is meant to be a revisiting of Mortal Kombat 4 with the way the last one ended.
You know, I actually didn't get around to finishing the reboot yet. I got to the fight against Shao Khan in the MK2 section, got frustrated and rage quit for a while. I need to go back to it sometime.
I cheated. I watched the whole story on YouTube.
Haha! I think I might just restart it and set it on easy next time. I think I had the difficulty on normal and the game wasn't really that hard, but Shao Khan has some brutal moves and deals twice as much damage as any other character and takes half damage from your attacks so its a bit like fighting two characters at once. Not a lot of wiggle room for making mistakes.
