Best drink is a Moscow Mule. Gin and tonics are a nice runner up though.
I prefer a whiskey ginger, with an old fashioned coming in second and a manhattan third. Fun fact: Neel bought me my first ever G&T. They're not bad!
Gin and tonics are my drink! I like the lime wedge but use a cucumber slice once in a while.
This is the best thread.
If your gin tastes like pine needles, it is time to drink better gin.
Tanqueray is super pine-y to me but it seems like one of the most popular brands, and it ain't cheap.
I love me some New Amsterdam. It's so smooth!
There are some expensive pine-y gins. There's nothing wrong with pine-y if that's what you are looking for.
Gin is easily the best liquor and it isn't very close, and Tonic is the simplest and probably best way to drink it.
Bombay Sapphire is better than Tanqueray if you're looking into the "popular, slightly expensive" brands.
It is largely a matter of taste, but Bombay Sapphire is one of the worst gins that is also one of the most popular. Tanqueray No. 10 is far and away better than Bombay.Bombay Sapphire is better than Tanqueray if you're looking into the "popular, slightly expensive" brands.
Then again, I'm kind of spoiled because the only gin I drink nowadays isn't available outside of Colorado yet.
I would prefer Bombay to Tanqueray.
I didn't say it was the best gin, I said it was the best gin in that price range and reputation category. Which I still think is true.
I'm drinking Bombay Sapphire at this very moment. I've read reviews calling it everything from great to undrinkable. I like it fine myself. I'm drowning it in tonic anyways. I guess it is a matter of taste.
We're still comrades in arms. Gin is our weapon. Lack of gin is our enemy. I'm not sure where I'm going with this other than gin is good.
