The weather is so lovely today and the snow is nearly all melted away. I am making plans for a trip to Portland to see family, friends, and to attend the Distant Worlds concert at the end of April. It's nearly the end of the week and I'm completely checked out, so I am just going to read all day and enjoy myself.
I went dress shopping for this wedding thing I'm going to AND IT WAS A SUCCESS. Like, 2 dresses in success!
I ordered groceries online via FreshDirect yesterday and they delivered it all today! Like.. Words can't express how exciting that was for me..
And lemme tell you.. The cilantro I ordered is so fresh I had to rinse it out like 10x to get all the dirt & grit out of it. The chicken & steaks I ordered are gorgeous, though..
My thumb is finally back on the mend for real and looking a million times better than it did 2 days ago - a lot of it due to peeling the rest of the dead skin off that the original bit & stitches killed..

I got an unexpected visit from my dad today, which is always nice.
My new softball bat came in the mail yesterday, so today I took it out to the batting cages to break it in and get used to it. Got about 300 hits in. I'm really glad I got it. I've been having to practice with everyone else's bats, which are all too long for me. I guess the standard size slowpitch softball bat is 34 in long, which is too long for a short guy like me. So I got this one which is 32' and 2 oz lighter than their bats. I can't wait to bring it to practice on Monday.

Baseball season is almost here! Which means absolutely bog all to every smurfer in England except me. Major League Baseball coverage in the UK is equivalent to that of the coverage of the Little Heath High School Sports Day... in that there is no coverage.I am terrible terrible terrible at softball, but I always found that I hit better with harder bats!
