I'm making a quiche for the first time in forever and it smells amazing and also looks pretty good too. AAAANNNND I made my own pastry which just looked perfect when I rolled it out, so buttery and yum!

I'm -finally- almost done unpacking all of our crap..

I have way more clothes than I thought I did.

Also, there's a possibility that my sister & dad are going to chip in on a plane ticket to fly me home for a week in like 2 weeks! All my sister's idea... I suspect she needs a babysitter 'cuz they have a 2 week Spring Break, but my sister has to work most of the 1st week, soooo... Yeah. If it happens, I'll stay at me dad's and she'll stay with us.. Fingers crossed that it happens!

Also I came up with a yummy chicken salad recipe with avocado mayo that I'm really excited about.. I wound up making a ton, so we'll have enough of it to last a couple of days.. Woohoo!

I'm so elated right now.

Amazon is officially the best website ever. I ordered a blue PS3 that came with the game "PlayStation All-Stars" as a bonus. When the package arrived, I received the system but the game wasn't with it. So, I contacted customer service and they are refunding my order! That game is like 20 bucks, so I essentially just got a 300 dollar playstation free of charge.

Silly little thing that made me laugh out loud. A Final Fantasy forum might be able to appreciate this.

I was playing FFX, and entered a battle. Wakka said "I'll show you what I can do, Lu" or something like that, in a voice obviously showing his desperation to prove himself to her. Immediately after saying that he gets attacked and becomes confused. His turn was right after that and what does he do? Smacks Lulu with a Blitzball.

The timing was just so perfect I couldn't help but burst out laughing. There's no better way to prove yourself to someone than to smack them with a blitzball.

I) A friend of mine hosted a poetry evening in his house. I'm not a poet but I vaguely run in the literary circles of the city, so I turned up with a beer and a willingness to listen. Everyone was full of talent and bereft of hubris; the cat curled up on me while everyone made Dada chants, that most absurd backdrop, there were so many references to trains. Perhaps your life can be full of art and poetry, perhaps you can be brave and vulnerable, perhaps.
