Her girlfriend had a tri-color (the black/tan/white) named Bennett Lee, but they had to put him to sleep a few months ago.. He had congestive heart failure and some other stuff wrong with him. He wasn't very old.
Anywho.. What made me smile today? Getting some painkillers and possibly getting some more here in an hour or so. Going through more of the 85 bajillion photos we have.. My dad's adopted sister went to Ohio from where she now lives in Northern Cali and actually went to my Grandmother's house and grabbed probably 30 lbs worth of pictures and shipped them to us.. We got them today (it was a surprise).
That's another thing that made me smile.. Not today really, but recently. No one had heard from my dad's adopted sister in probably over 30 years... My Grandmother adopted her when she was like 13 and my parents were already married- so my dad was probably 22 or 23. Anyway, Janie (the sister obvs) ran away when my brother and sister were little and no one ever heard from her again. Somehow, she got my parents' phone number and called my dad 2 or 3 weeks ago.
I haven't spoken to her yet.. She of course was told about me when she talked to my dad..
