This is so, so amazing! I'm glad things are turning out so well and so quickly! Now you can let go of some stress and fully appreciate baby and holiday stuff (albeit belated)! Glad to hear he's doing better.
Thank you There's still a long way to go- he'll need another 2 or 3 sets of chemo and then possibly a bone marrow transplant to stop it returning, but right now, he is Leukaemia free and that is the best present of all. He came home for lunch today before going back to hosp later this avo. He was really emotional and kept saying he never thought he'd be back here at the house. He was desperate for me to cook him some steak (I make a mean steak), and although trying to surpress being sick nearly killed me and I'm now paying for it- I made it for him and he said it was incredible. So thankful.

I got the call from the transplant center that I'll be getting my kidney transplant today. So yay, new kidney awaits me! The surgery will occur tonight if I'm able to arrive at the hospital.

Apparently, I have been declared banished.

This is pretty incredible. Will the transplant mean that you can stop dialysis?

The rape crisis center called me to check up since I took a break with the moving and all the other stuff. Was nice that they thought of me and might be good to go volunteer again

My mom (a borderline obsessive hoarder) finally agreed to let me reorganize the basement.

I've been at it since this time yesterday, 24 hours with minimal breaks, but as soon as I throw away the last of these nasty empty cardboard boxes, I will finally be done.

I have not been this tired for a long time.

I had a lengthy talk with my father today about how even though he and my mother split up when I was just seven years old, I can't say I ever suffered from it at all. Probably because they just handled it really well, never pinning blames or anything (in fact it took years until I eventually asked what the cause was and it was the same for my brothers), and I still got to see my father at least once per week. The more I think about it the more amazing I think it is that they managed to pull that off that well, especially whenever I hear anyone else's experiences with parents breaking up. Makes me really appreciate how lucky I am.

The amusement from watching kids argue over stupid trout on an online game. Takes me back to a simpler time.
