I really enjoyed it, but have only played it twice. I've bought it 3 times, lol.
One of the most intricately designed battle systems i've seen in a jrpg. Pity so many of the characters are useless and forgettable.
Serge/Glenn/Kid why deviate for endgame?

Spartan: What's gotten into you? 'Cause it sure as hell wasn't me.
Huxley: Physical relations in the way of intercourse are no longer acceptable John Spartan.
Spartan: What? Why the hell not?
Huxley: It's the law, John. And for your information, the very idea that you suggested it makes me feel personally violated.
Spartan: Wait a minute... violated? Huxley what the hell are you accusing me of here?
Huxley: You need to leave, John.
Spartan: But Huxley.
Huxley: Get out!
Moments later Spartan is arrested for "violating" Huxley.
By the way, that's called satire. Get over it.
I tried out a copied version when I first modded my PS1, loved it so much I ended up convincing my parents to spend a fortune importing it. I love the soundtrack and the art style.

It's a beautiful game with solid gameplay, a GoAT-tier soundtrack, and a pretty intriguing storyline. It's not as good as Trigger, but well, few games are.
