This has happened to me and I did freak out. Luckily there was no one near me in traffic.

I'm not scared of most insects or anything, but we have several species of poisonous spider in Florida and I'm not very good at telling them from the others.

One time a spider came down from the ceiling of my car and I saw it out of the corner of my eye and I almost crashed and I totally would have died. It was a liiiiiiiittle baby spider.

I'm not afraid of spiders, but I'd be afraid of a creature that size dropping onto me from above.

If it was a normal non-devil satan giant spider like that, I'd just do what foa did and forget about it in twenty minutes.

Not to be rude or anything, but there's some folks with some serious phobia's out there, with Spiders being one of the most common, wish that the pictures, gifs, info about how this Spider does that etc of Spiders couldn't of been spoiler tag to respect those who are really scared of these 8-legged guys.

I would most likely try and stay calm, and then brush the thing off, and then get back inside, and then when get home, bug spray the car just in case it's still about.

If there were people in the car with me I'd act like it was the most natural thing in the world. I'd politely ask a passenger to remove it or pull over and do it myself.

If I was on my own I would most likely squeal like a little girl and drive into a tree.

I actually dealt with my arachnophobia on a trip last summer.

I left the house 'cause I was hot and the front yard of this place I was at had a tree that was COVERED in spiders. Not hyperbole. Like, this pine tree was completely conical from all the spider webs on it, and each web had its own individual spider. Worst thing for a severe arachnophobe to find when in space, right? Wrong! It lead me to the realization of the place that spiders have in the circle of life and death (or some bs like that) and tl;dr I don't hate spiders anymore.

For that kind of spider, I'd probably swerve onto the side of the road (hopefully not hitting anything on the way) and get out of the car freaking the smurf out.
