Default Rolling Stone's Top 50 Albums of 2013

    ...can be found here!

What do you think of this list? How many albums have you listened to from it and what did you think of them? Are there any you are interested in listening to? Are there any albums not listed that you would have liked to see on here?

Pretty excited to see Best Coast make it to the Top 50, though I will sadly admit that Fade Away is an album I have not heard yet.

I've heard none of them, most of the genres listed I'm not interested in and the inclusion of a Miley Cyrus album doesn't do much to change that.

I might give the Chvrches album a play at some point, although they do seem like a group with fantastic artistic talent just bursting to get through like with The Mother We Share, but the rest of what I've heard is a bit pants.

As a comparison so I don't come across as completely ignorant to current popular music, here's my top 25 of 2013:

I think Yeezus and MBV are the only albums on that list I actually listened to, and I still haven't listened to the former enough to make up my mind what I think about it. There are at least a few on it that I definitely need to listen to, such as David Bowie's new album.

My album of the year was Kayo Dot's Hubardo. Incidentally, my physical copy just came in today. Feels good man.

I thought I remembered Sunbather being on that list but I guess it wasn't. Strange; it was on nearly everyone else's. It's probably top ten material for me, but I haven't really narrowed down my selection any beyond Hubardo being the best.
Don't delay, add The Pimp today! Don't delay, add The Pimp today!

I was really impressed that there were more than a couple of albums on this list I liked and had listened to, namely Pearl Jam, Kasey Musgraves, Ashley Monroe, and Queens of the Stone Age. I haven't heard any of Franz Ferdinand's new album yet, though nor Elton John's. Also Random Access Memories is great.

I have never listened to a Vampire Weekend song, ever.

    Signature by rubah. I think.

I've listened to a grand total of four of those albums.

Didn't Rolling Stone run that Rocker vs. DJ thing a while ago? What the hell are Avicii and Daft Punk doing on their list. Also, Avicii's album sucks.
