Hitman: Absolution was pretty excellent, but overall I think I still prefer the sandbox type missions of Blood Money. But when Absolution was on fire, it was brilliant

I will say that my not beating Mario World is not for lack of trying. It was probably my most played game as a kid. I just sucked at games. I have it on my Wii U and will probably get around to attempting to beat it again. There's a specific place I always got stuck in when I played it. I know there's an alternate exit that I have to go to proceed after that point, but I couldn't figure it out as a kid apparently. I can't remember if I ever tried star road.

To be fair, the only platforming game from the NES/SNES days I've actually beaten is probably Donkey Kong Country. Like I said, I sucked at games.

You should definitely go to Star Road and then (once you beat all the Star Road levels) go to SPECIAL world in the middle because all of that was the best part of Super Mario World

(except for the second SPECIAL level, smurf that)

Smurfing Tubular. That level ended more of my perfect runs then any other. Smurf you, Tubular.

Special Road was indeed awesome though. When I was a kid, I remember leaving the Special Road map screen open for a few minutes and a special reggae version of the Mario theme came on! I was out of my tiny mind with excitement!

How do you get to Star Road again? I forgot

Going on with the list in the meantime!

Final Fantasy Tactics - War of the Lions

This legendary strategy RPG has been awarded with:

‘Best game I played on a borrowed handheld’
    ‘Also best game I borrowed’
    ‘Most OP character’
‘Most debatable character motivations (in a good way)’
‘Most characters with dialogue killed in story’

Final Fantasy Tactics is a grand game. It’s setup in both gameplay and story are immense and therefor it’s not really a surprise that chapter 1 seems to me to be the best crafted. I thoroughly enjoyed the other chapters nonetheless but my initial enthusiasm when I dove into the first chapter remained the ultimate highlight.

    Delita for president.

But then again, we have Delita. Snap. Delita is one hell of an intriguing character and in the unfair world of Ivalice I often found myself rooting for his devious, extremist, vengeful mastermind schemes.

Death is all over FFT and I'm a sucker for tragedy.

    fft4.jpg

What I praise Tactics most for is it’s guts to make war feel like war. Casualties are heavy and the game doesn’t hesitate to kill off important characters. Tragedy is exactly what hooked me into the story.

A tragic, epic game. Deserves praise!

There are five exits to Star Road. Donut Plains, Cheese Bridge Area, Forest of Illusion, Choco Island and Bowser's Castle.

A game I have heard so much about and has somehow deluded me all these years. Not surprised to see it make the list.

    Journey

This PS3 game left everyone speechless and therefor deserves the following awards:
    ‘Best sand dune surfing sim’
    ‘Best story without words’
    ‘Most serene’
    ‘Best stress-release game’

Dim the lights, grab a cup of herbal tea, fire up Journey and go explore this beautifully crafted surreal world and it’s few inhabitants.

Journey is a video game in it’s purest form: there’s no fighting, no competition, no scores, no swearing kids in it’s online multiplayer, there’s not even a single word or use of language to be falsely interpreted by players. Journey is just you, the environment and the controls. I love it.

I love the sand-dune surfing. I love the floaty-flying ability. The soundtrack is a masterpiece and I often listen to it while working or when I’m trying to get to sleep. Not to mention the amazing accomplishment of telling a pretty damn good story without using a single word, and the end of the ride is impressively emotional for the short time we get to bond with our wanderer.

I want to live in this world. I could surf the dunes and gaze at the epic sunsets for all eternity.

I need to play this again soon. SOON!

I'll share my PS3 with Pike. Not sure how I'm going to get her through the internet, but we'll figure something out.

I want to play this again now, too! I need a little break after three and a half games of Assassin's Creed and I think this will be perfect. I hope to remember to play this in the next few days.

Yeah, Journey is on my 'to play' list. I've heard nothing but good things about it. Isn't it a pretty short play though length?
