Detroit (and MI over all) has quite a few interesting things! I'm sure most of you have heard of Coney dogs (or at least chili dogs?) and that seems to be a specialty here...

Lafayette Coney Island is THE PLACE to go if you ever visit Detroit. The menu is super simple, you've got coneys, fries, and drinks. if you go in with a bigger group they take everyones order and shout everything back to the kitchen and never get anyones order wrong.

And then there's the infamous Tony's on I-75 and Birch run...

Yes, that is a pound of bacon BLT. Yes, thats a steak knife instead of a toothpick holding it together. It's glorious. First time I went there I made the mistake of getting a club sandwich. I ate a quarter of it lol. If you like bacon this place is a must see.

Do you like beer? Of course you do! We're pretty widely known for our beer these days. Going to a brewery is my hangout of choice, over just about any other bar. Theres way too many to list but My favorites are Kuhnhenn Brewing Company, Dragonmead, and Sherwood Brewing Company.

Here is a picture of beer. Because beer.

Also, there's apple orchards and cider mills everywhere. Hot apple cider and cider donuts. This makes fall my absolute favorite time of the year. Need I say more? Traverse City is known for their cherries, they have a cherry festival in the summer but I've never had the opportunity to go I'm sure there's more unique foodstuffs here too that I'm not thinking of because I've always lived here.
